EcoFlow PowerOcean 5K Inverter Overview

The EcoFlow PowerOcean 5K is a single-phase hybrid inverter delivering 5 kW nominal AC power, engineered for residential and small commercial solar-plus-storage installations. It acts as the central intelligence unit for the EcoFlow PowerOcean system, combining grid-tied operation with automatic backup power capability.

This inverter features two independent MPPT inputs with a maximum PV input voltage of 520 V and an MPPT voltage range of 90 to 520 V. The startup voltage is 160 V. Each MPPT channel supports up to 16 A of current, with a maximum DC short-circuit current of 24 A. A peak conversion efficiency of 96.5% maximizes energy yield from the PV array across varying conditions.

During a grid outage, the inverter switches to battery backup mode in just milliseconds, providing up to 5 kW of continuous power to essential loads. This rapid transfer ensures no interruption to critical appliances and systems in your home or small business.

System monitoring and control are accessible via Wi-Fi or LAN using the EcoFlow Energy App. The unit is OCPP 1.6-J compliant and SG Ready for smart grid integration. Note: An energy meter is mandatory for a complete storage setup. Select from these single-phase models:

• Inline energy meter (max. 80 A): EF-EFA-YDM201D
• Energy meter with 1x 120 A CT: EF-EFA-ADL200N-CT
• Three-phase meters are not supported.
