The APsystems DS3 Microinverter delivers a maximum AC output power of 880VA, making it the most powerful Duo Microinverter in the lineup. This single-phase unit features two independent MPPT channels (2 MPPT 2 IN) to optimize energy harvest from each connected panel. Its input voltage range accommodates large panels used in both residential and commercial PV systems. The DS3 incorporates Encrypted Zigbee Communication for reliable data transmission, along with an integrated VDE Relay and Reactive Power Control (RPC) that interacts with the power grid to manage voltage fluctuations effectively. All internal components are coated with silicon, reducing stress on the electronics while improving watertightness and thermal dissipation. The unit has an IP67 rating and uses MC4 connectors.

Installation Overview

Before installing the APS-DS3-EU, verify that the mains voltage matches the microinverter’s rated voltage. Begin by wiring the conductors of the AC port, then attach the microinverter to the rack. The DS3 can be earthed using the PE wire integrated in the Y3 AC port cable. Connect the inverter to the AC port cable and fit the protective cap. Finally, connect the solar panels and then connect the microinverter to the mains.
